Rovaniemi (Finland), 14 – 15 June 2022
Ensuring the successful entrance of new farmers into the sector means also creating a collaborative environment between schools, universities, companies, and public authorities.
On Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th June 2022, the project partners met in Rovaniemi (Finland) for the Transnational Project Meeting organised by the Lapland University of Applied Science.
Partners met on the first day to discuss changes in the partnership composition and the survey results, which collected about 340 replies among farmers, students, and teachers, to map existing and needed skills in agriculture.
Then, the discussion focused on the dissemination and communication activities. The creation of the website and the best way to actively involve students were agreed upon.

On Wednesday, 15th June, the partners visited the Lappia vocational school in Loue. There, Petri Muje, from Lapland University, and Jarmo Saariniemi, from the Lappia Vocational School, introduced the partners to the Finnish Educational System and the local agricultural sector. Later, Mrs Anna-Rikka Lavia presented her Artic Ice Cream company located at the vocational school.

During the two days, the partners outlined the project’s work plan until March 2023 and scheduled the following meetings and learning activities in Danmark, Italy, and France.
The Transnational Project Meeting was attended by 16 participants, among university and high school professors, educators, and organisation representatives from the eight countries involved: Italy, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, France, Spain, Croatia, and Serbia.
